1st Onion Cake Festival – A Complete Success

On Sunday, September 28, the Arul Trust hosted its first Onion Cake Festival – and was delighted to celebrate a thoroughly successful premiere. After a rainy week, the weather was at its best, allowing for a celebration without any restrictions.

The board and members of the festival committee eagerly awaited how the new format would be received by the Nußloch residents – and the response exceeded all expectations. The onion cake was completely sold out after just two hours, which the organizers saw as a clear sign of the guests' enthusiasm.

Special thanks go to the Emert Bakery from Gauangelloch for the generous donation of the onion cake, as well as to the Adam Müller Winery from Leimen for the new wine. Seppl's Bakery from Gaiberg and numerous club members also contributed to the success with homemade onion and apple cakes and apple juice. Thanks to this support, all proceeds from the festival can be donated without deductions to those in need worldwide – entirely in keeping with the spirit of the support association.

The festival was musically enriched by the expressive singing of Darién Rodríguez Acosta, whose performance created a particularly atmospheric atmosphere.

The Friends' Association would like to extend its sincere thanks to all the volunteers from its ranks, to the municipality of Nußloch and Mayor Joachim Förster for their kind support by making the Nepomuk Park available, and to all the guests who made the festival a special event through their participation. Further thanks go to the many individuals, clubs, and institutions who actively supported the association by lending event equipment.

With this successful start, the Arul Trust Association is looking forward to future events with confidence – and is already looking forward to seeing you again next year – with even more onion cake!
