Why am I involved with "Arul Trust"? – Today: Opera singer Wilfried Staber

The second chairman of the Arul Trust eV support association, Christian Sych, was in conversation with association member Wilfried Staber from Leimen.

The renowned opera singer Wilfried Staber is particularly well-known in this region for his work as a bass with the Heidelberg City Theatre and Orchestra. The Austrian native has lived with his family in Leimen since 2009. His wife, Nicole, is the director of the Leimen Music School; his children, Anselm and Emilia, are altar servers at the Catholic parish of the Sacred Heart.

When asked why he is involved in the Arul Trust eV support association, Wilfried Staber answers very clearly: “I greatly admire Arul Lourdu; as a person, as a pastor, as a priest. I find Arul Lourdu’s passionate commitment here in Leimen and the surrounding area, but also his dedication to the poor in his former homeland of India, truly remarkable. It is a real privilege to have someone like Arul Lourdu who, with his personal integrity and his local knowledge, can directly deliver aid to those in need.”

Wilfried Staber would be pleased if his example could inspire other people to support the goals of the sponsoring association.
